Adjunctive Therapies for Pain Relief & Healing
At Allied Pain Relief Clinics, Inc, we utilize a variety of hands-on techniques to support healing beyond adjustments.
These adjunctive therapies are safe, non-invasive, and often used to speed recovery, reduce pain, and enhance mobility.
Kinesiology Taping
What it is:
Elastic therapeutic tape is strategically applied to support muscles and joints without limiting movement.
How it works:
- Lifts the skin slightly to reduce pressure and improve blood and lymphatic flow
- Provides light support to overstressed or injured tissues
- Enhances body awareness (proprioception) during movement
What it helps with:
- Muscle fatigue and overuse
- Joint instability
- Postural support
- Swelling and inflammation control
- Athletic recovery or prevention of re-injury
Cupping Therapy
What it is:
Cupping is a traditional therapy that uses suction to decompress soft tissue.
How it works:
- Cups are placed on the skin using negative pressure (suction), drawing tissues upward
- Increases blood flow and promotes natural healing
- Loosens tight fascia and muscles
- May leave temporary circular marks as part of the healing response
What it helps with:
- Chronic tension and trigger points
- Muscle recovery
- Reduced joint stiffness
- Improved circulation and mobility
